Jean Didier Debut was a French sculpture 1824 - 1893. Signed bronze, entitled "Barde"  is 28.5"  x 8.25  x 8" and depicts a 16th century lute player. Lovely sculpture in good overall condition with minor surface pitting. Lute strings are missing and joins are loose where lute meets torso and where feet meet the base. Front plaque reads, " Par Debut Prix de Rome."
