Built by Jan van Daalen, a Dutch organ builder who has designed and built organs for Eastman School of Music, Trinity Churches, Luthern Churches, Universities and many Catholic Churches. The VanDaalen Box Organ is a beautifully handcrafted mahogany two piece organ. Its full bodied sound passes through 55 eight inch pipes, 55 four inch Rohrflute pipes( stop operation) and 55 two inch principal pipes( also stop operation). Totaling 165 pipes. Twenty four of the eight inch pipes are mahogany and the rest of the pipes are tin and lead. The windchime runs on 110 volts , so it can be played anywhere electricity is availiable. The slider chest contains a mechanical key and stop action. The Box Organ is truly portable due to its ability to come apart in two pieces allowing it to fit in an SUV! The two portable pieces that make up this beautiful organ have a combined wiegh of approximately 220 lbs. The base is 58" wide by 21" deep by 13" high. The upper portion is 42" wide by 19" deep by 29" high. The bench is 35" wide by 12" deep by 30 1/2" high. One of these beautiful organs is used by the Angelican Church in Pheonix Arizona.
