I only have a few items to sell; will you take them?

We are happy to help clients with their items, whether one or one hundred! Batterman's Auction has several avenues from which to maximize the sale of your items. Your fine Antiques, Art, Collectibles, Furniture, Antique Firearms, Modern Firearms and Militaria could be sold at a monthly specialty auction, or receive prime placement in our Prescott, Arizona storefront, or be featured in our online galleries for international exposure, or all of the above!

What commission do you charge?
Commissions vary greatly and depend on the value of the items, desirability, readiness for sale (are the items clean, in good repair, recently serviced), item location (is it nearby, far, up lots of stairs and difficult to move), and many other factors. We will be glad to discuss your situation with you.
What is a buyers premium?
The buyers premium is a percentage that is charged to the buyer on the price for article as determined in the bidding process. It is a method of spreading the costs of the auction between the buyer and the seller.
How can I bid on an item if I cannot attend the auction?
A bidder can enter his maximum bid on an Absentee Bid Form and the Auctioneer will bid on behalf of the absentee bidder. The absentee bidder must agree to all the terms and conditions in the auction and have a registered bid card for that auction. We offer live online bidding through Proxibid. This “Ebay” style bidding that happens “live” in real time during the action. We also offer in-house absentee, or phone bidding services.
I have several items that are quite valuable and would like to sell them, but I want them to be offered in a way that will maximize their value.
We will do our best to ensure your treasured items get the attention they deserve with our promotional marketing. Your items will benefit from our specialty auctions, premier placement in our showroom, or exposure to an international audience via our online galleries.
Do you offer certified appraisals?
We offered certified appraisals (CAGA) and are even certified to work with estate executors, insurance, divorce, or IRS. Our CAGA appraisal reports are USPAP compliant, which meet the standards that professional agencies require.
