Colt Lightning Medium Frame Slide Action rifle, bearing s/n 60957, in 44-40 caliber, 26" octagonal barrel, with sharp edges, retaining 95% dulled blue. The full tubular magazine has 99% thin blue. The blade front and rear buckhorn sights are factory and in excellent condition. The frame is 99% bright blue, with a sharp "Rampant Colt" on the left side. The hammer shows 99% case color, the trigger guard retains 99% bright blue, with no finish on the cresent  butt plate. tubular magazine extending nearly to the muzzle. Rampant Colt roll mark is clearly visible on the left side of the reciever, "Colts PTF A MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.    Patented May 29. Sept. 1883 May 26. 85. June 15.86 Feb. 22.87." Marked on the top barrel flat.  Color case clearly visible on the hammer. The overall collector's condition is excellent, with minor "handling" scratches.
