EVANS CIVIL WAR CARBINE, caliber 44 Evans, 22” barrel with fine bore. Both barrel and receiver retain about 70% refinish. The barrel is marked “EVANS REPEATING RIFLE/PAT. DEC 8, 1868 & SEPT 16, 1871”. A blade front sight, and folding leaf rear sight, with elevation adjustment is present. The lever retains traces of case color on one side, and 90%, n the other. The original walnut stock is in very fine condition. The revolving magazine is loads the carbine, through the butt, now missing.
