J.P. STEVENS FAVORITE LEVER ACTION SINGLE SHOT,  caliber 22 Long Rifle, 23" barrel with excellent bore, blade front sight and adjustable ramp rear sight. The barrel is marked "J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY/CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS, U.S.A." and "22 LONG RIFLE", and retains about 40% blue, turning plum. The receiver has 30%  brown finish. Fine wood and original gutta purcha butt plate marked with the Stevens logo.
