A Marlin 1893, 32-40, Octagonal  26" Barrel, straight stock, with crescent steel butplate, blade front sight and ramp adjustable rear sight, marked "Special Smokeless Steel" on the barrel,  full length tubular magazine, blued barrel and magazine tube showing some bluing, mostly brown, with light scratches and dings.   The bore shows some fouling with sharp rifling and light pitting.  The receiver shows light color case hardening with some light pitting.  The buttstock appears to have been refinished some time ago, and shows light  scratches and dents.
