WEBLEY AND SCOTT WWI FLARE PISTOL.  Staged brass-barreled Mark III, single shot, break open, one inch bore, flare pistol. Two-piece wooden grips, the brass frame marked on left side, “WEBLBEY AND SCOTT LTD/ LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM”.  The right side of the frame is marked with British Proofs and the Broad Arrow, signifying government ownership. The 4½” barrel exhibits several “dings” but is good overall condition. Affordability and growing interest in flare guns make this pistol a good value for the collector.
