Zimmer Schuetzen, Gauge: 4 mm, 4mm RF,  1/8" octagon barrel with an 8" The bore fine rifling and is dark with some pitting. The barrel of this unmarked rifle has an overall mottled gray-brown patina. The loading lever near the muzzle and triggerguard/cocking lever both have a mottled gray patina and  some case color evident. . Set trigger  with number 228 engraved on the top of the butplate. Fine hooded post front sight and a adjustable v-notch rear sight. The walnut stock is a nicely figured walnut with a semi full cheeck piece and a Schuetzen style butplate .
